From 2021, one ton of CO₂ emissions in Germany is supposed to cost 25 euros. Experts are demanding a gradual increase to up to 180 euros. However, the prices for offsetting a ton of CO₂ through climate protection in developing countries (CO₂ offsetting) are set differently. Here, prices fluctuate from provider to provider and from project to project. We work with the company ClimatePartner, which specializes in carbon offsetting. The relatively cheap price is not at the expense of the quality of the projects. All three projects are certified according to the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) or the Gold Standard (GS) VER developed by the WWF.
