The card is made of unvarnished Austrian cherry wood, which comes with pros and cons. Wood is still a rather unusual material for card production. So, we had to stick to what seemed possible at the time to meet the requirements of payment terminals. On the one hand, it couldn't be too thick, which means that you can break the card with a little effort (so please be careful!). It also isn't waterproof and the wood components could (theoretically) be eaten by a woodworm.
How durable is the wooden card?
