Do you want to travel and make sure that everything with your account works smoothly along the way? Exemplary!

Here we’ve put together a few points you should keep in mind:

Your Tomorrow card is generally valid worldwide at any ATM with the VISA sign.
Nevertheless, there are politically mandated and security regulatory restrictions for certain countries. This is beyond our control, changes constantly, and our authorization to inform you about it is also limited. So please make sure to inform yourself about the countries you plan to travel to before you set off.
If card usage is restricted in your destination country, we can place your card on a so-called allowlist for 2 weeks at a time. This involves risks and requires processing time on our side. So please get in touch with us in good time beforehand.

Also, fees for card usage and cash withdrawals are the same worldwide on our side – feel free to check our price list. However, ATM operators may charge their own fees for foreign cards. Please check directly at the ATM.

In general, our great Smart Agent may be triggered more often when your card is suddenly used on the other side of the globe. Then it will ask you via push notification if the payment was made by you. You can confirm this and then re-initiate the payment. For this, you need internet access. If you travel without internet access, your card usage may be restricted. In that case, it’s also worth talking to us in advance about possible allowlisting.

In case of physical loss of the card or card data theft, your card must be closed; we are obliged to do so. We can only send a new card to countries with the EURO currency. If you want to be absolutely safe, you should therefore never travel with just one card.

And if your phone gets lost, a new phone number must be linked to your account. There are strict security rules for this – we are only allowed to link numbers to your account that are registered in your name. So you can’t just use your friend’s SIM card. If you buy a new prepaid card locally, make sure that the phone number is printed somewhere (not handwritten) on the materials and documents you receive with the SIM, or that there is a mobile provider portal where you can register. Don’t throw anything away and contact us immediately in our chat.

For some functions, such as linking the new phone number, you must be able to receive an SMS TAN. Here is a link to our TAN provider Twilio. There you can look up your travel country and see whether “Two-way SMS supported” is YES or NO. Or you can ask us, and we’ll gladly check for you :) If it says NO, SMS TANs cannot be sent to numbers from this country. In that case, you can play it absolutely safe by taking a backup SIM card from Europe – with the corresponding proof, e.g., including the packaging.

Lastly, we would like to remind you to also check your email inbox regularly while traveling so that you don’t miss any request from us. If you follow all this, hardly anything can go wrong! We wish you a wonderful trip.
