Article 8 and Article 9 indicate different disclosure categories under SFDR and should not automatically be understood as a ranking of how “sustainable” a product is. Products classified as Article 8 actively promote environmental and social characteristics, while for products classified as Article 9, sustainability must be the stated investment objective.

Inyova deliberately chose Article 8, since in their view Article 9 can't fully capture an active-ownership approach — driving change through engagement rather than exclusion.

Both approaches are valid. They reflect different theories about how money can best drive change.
