We as well as our partner Solaris are subject to the rules set by the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin), and have developed a very healthy security system based on its requirements – which, by the way, apply for all other banks as well. This protects not only you but also us and others from fraud, verifies compliance with our general terms and conditions and keeps an eye on money-laundering attempts. Given that the algorithm is calibrated to recognise and check suspicious irregularities, it also might affect your account, if there is any unusual activity noticed on it. As a result, the account will be blocked temporarily and you will receive an e-mail from us with security questions. If you answer these quickly and correctly, your account will be unblocked again soon. So as long as you comply with our general terms and conditions and are not up to no good, you have absolutely nothing to worry about.
Why is my account blocked?
