Yes, there are several alternative identification methods available:

• eID (electronic ID function):
  If you have a German ID card with the online ID function activated, you can verify your identity quickly and fully digitally using eID. This requires an NFC-enabled smartphone and your PIN.

• BankIdent+:
  Alternatively, you can conveniently verify your identity via your online banking account with a participating bank.

If you are unable to use IDNow, eID, or BankIdent+ due to a physical impairment, we can offer you PostIdent as an alternative. This option is only available if you have a residence in Germany. Please contact us to request the PostIdent process. In this case, we will also require a copy of your disability ID.
