There is for people who are unable to carry out the IDnow process due to a physical disability or condition. Pre-requisite is to hold a permanent residence registration in Germany. In such a case, you can contact us and apply for postal identification (the “PostIdent” service offered by Deutsche Post).

Please provide a copy of the relevant entitlement for us (e.g. disabled person's card).
